I am a Latina woman working to promote diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), and socio-environmental sustainability. My professional journey is based on innovative strategies for natural resource conservation, capacity building, and facilitation of networks that foster sustainable use of natural resources and better quality of life to indigenous people and local communities.
Since 2009, I have worked in tropical forests governance, supporting implementation of socio-environmental public policies. I have experience in fundraising, project management, technical publications, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
Areas of interest: mitigation, resilience and adaptation to climate change, forest conservation, protected areas, community participation, gender equity, and integrated fire management.
