“I am a PhD candidate p at the School of Forest Resources and Conservation (SFRC) at the University of Florida, with a concentration in Tropical Conservation and Development and a certification in Latin American Studies. I got my Master’s degree in Natural Resource Management and Local Development in the Amazon at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA). I worked as a Manager of the Community Forests Program of the Tropical Forest Institute (IFT) for 8 years (2009-2016). I develop research on socio-environmental governance and natural resources management as well as local development in the Amazon. I have experience working with tropical forest management, forest certification, community forest management and implementation of public policies related to sustainable natural resources management in The Amazon region.
